'Ja, man!'

'Yeah, man!'...these could have been the sounds that came out of the studio walls after I recorded the last notes for the record. And yes, so the pandemic personally had two very positive factors for me: calm and time. And I used this to finally work and complete a deep wish I had since I was a young boy: Writing and producing my own full length record. It took me about 25 years to do that but I already felt this longing when I've had my first Bass practices at the age of 10 in Altenstadt, my home town near Frankfurt in Germany. And I knew I would make it. Some day. Somehow.

I've spent my last musical years on the stages around Frankfurt, playing famous Rock&Pop Cover tracks with my Band "LIEBLINGSBAND". And I felt the deep creative wish from the past was there, still growing inside me. As my second Band, the Progressive Metal Band "CONCEPT INSOMNIA", is sleeping well for two years, there was only that one real choice and option: A new Solo project. where I was able to control the most important factors of a band and record: Creativity and time. And that had the advantage that I was able to try things out and find my right musical path for this new project so that I would be able and proud to present the final product and say: 'Yes, that's me, it's a 100% match'.

And so the journey began. The first ten to fifteen takes disappeared quickly as a "nice try" until I felt pretty comfortable with the first notes . And so the first tracks were fully written and the path was now open for me. From there, everything felt right, musically and lyrically. The fountain was open and the rest just happened very quickly, chord after chord, line after line. It felt a bit like falling into a trance and as I woke up, everything was done. A very intensive, intimate and personal experience that continued with the second album "Starship" (JAN21) and third album "Sailor" (OCT21).
